I grew up in a small farm town in Lansing, New York, just outside of Ithaca. Growing up in a small town has taught me the value of community and friendship. In my younger days, art and sports were my passion. I played all types of sports including basketball, swimming, and golf, with soccer being my main focus. In college I was introduced to water sports, such as wake boarding. Even though I do not have the opportunity to participate in water sports as often, I still love the water and all activities it can offer. I also learned how to ski and snowboard in college. To this day I still play soccer, snowboard, and ski.
I try to live my life fearlessly, willing to explore what the world has in store for me. Adventures and new experiences inspire me to be a better person and a better photographer. I love to meet new and interesting people. I currently live in Rochester, New York. The lessons I have learned in life I apply to everything I do especially my artwork. My style of shooting is a photojournalistic approach. Because I try to live my life without fear, I am not afraid to make mistakes in life and in photography. Sometimes the mistakes make the best moments in life. We learn from them and should always value their lessons. I shoot with energy and enthusiasm to create images that are unique and timeless. I believe in capturing moments as they unfold, and will primarily take candid photographs throughout the day. Though, my style is photojournalistic, I understand the importance of also having posed formal shots. |
